Undersecretary for Political Planning Heads a Coordination Meeting in Preparation for Iraq’s Participation in the International Water Conference

As part of the preparations for the 5th Baghdad International Water Conference, the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Planning Ambassador Dr. Hisham Al Alawi, chaired a meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters which was attended by representatives from Undersecretaries offices and the Ministry’s departments (Political Planning, Legal, Arab, and Neighboring Countries). The meeting discussed the topics to be addressed in the Foreign Ministry’ special session at the 5th Baghdad International Water Conference, sponsored by the Ministry of Water Resources.

As well as the Undersecretary reviewed the proposed topics to be discussed at the meeting and emphasized the need to present the diplomatic efforts made by the Ministry within water and climate diplomacy, in addition to initiatives that would enhance regional cooperation and international partnerships.
