Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Meets Hadi Al-Amiri, Secretary General of the Badr Organization
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri, Secretary General of the Badr Organization on Wednesday 16 April 2025.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest regional and international developments and ways to enhance joint efforts to face current challenges,
Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein briefed Mr. Al-Amiri on the content of the phone call he had with his Iranian counterpart Mr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, which dealt with developments in the negotiations between Tehran and Washington and their repercussions on the region, emphasizing the importance of adopting dialogue as a means of resolving disputes.
The two sides also reviewed the results of the 5th High-level Meeting of the Security Mechanism between Iraq and Turkey, chaired by the Minister, the meeting aimed to enhance security coordination and cooperation to confront common threats, thus contributing to supporting the stability of both countries.
As well the they touched on the most prominent meetings held by Minister Hussein on the sidelines of his participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which included discussions with a number of international officials to strengthen cooperation in the economic and security areas.
At the internal level, the two sides discussed the general situation in Iraq and developments in the political process, commending the government’s steps to enhance stability and improve the level of services. The meeting ended with an emphasis on the importance of continuing joint work and an expression of optimism regarding the progress achieved on various levels.
