Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives a Phone Call from Dutch Minister of Defense

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a phone call on Wednesday 16 April 2025, from the Dutch Minister of Defense Mr. Ruben Brekelmans.
During the call, the Dutch Minister briefed Minister Hussein on the contents of the report submitted to the Dutch Parliament regarding the airstrikes carried out by Dutch Air Force aircraft against Da’esh locations in 2015, which resulted in civilian casualties.
Minister Brekelmans explained that the report which is issued by a special committee recommended providing compensation to the affected city through the implementation of service projects, indicating the Dutch government’s willingness to study some proposals for new projects and asked the Minister to contribute ideas in this regard.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed the work of the NATO mission in Iraq, and expressed their appreciation for the mission’s role in training and productive cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.
Additionally, the two sides discussed the ongoing talks between the United States and Iran, expressing their support for these dialogues and wishing them success in contributing to strengthening regional stability.
