Iranian Foreign Minister Briefs Deputy Prime Minister Fuad Hussein on Developments of Negotiations with United States

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call on Monday 14 April 2025, from Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who briefed the Minister on the latest developments in the Iranian-American negotiations held in the Omani capital, Muscat.
Minister Araghchi stated that the negotiations between the Iranian and American sides proceeded “well,” noting that the nuclear programme was discussed. Additionally the Iranian Foreign Minister confirmed that the second round of talks would be held soon in the Italian capital, Rome, under the auspices of the Sultanate of Oman.
On his part Minister Hussein expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing dialogue, appreciating the positive role played by the Sultanate of Oman in facilitating the negotiations, and affirming Iraq’s support for all effort that contributes to enhancing regional security and stability.
At the end of the call, the Iranian Minister extended an official invitation to Minister Fuad Hussein to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran, as part of supporting bilateral dialogue and strengthening relations between the two countries.
