Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets his Egyptian Counterpart in Cairo

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, on the sidelines of his visit to Cairo to participate in the ministerial meeting of the Council of Arab League, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Sunday 2 March 2025.

The two ministers discussed ways to further advance bilateral relations between both brotherly countries and enhance cooperation across various areas, in addition to discussing several regional and international issues of common concern.

During the meeting, Minister Hussien affirmed the importance of joint cooperation to confront the challenges facing the region, stressing the firm position of the Republic of Iraq in supporting the Palestinian brothers to obtain their legitimate rights, establish their independent state, and reject their displacement from their lands.

The meeting also discussed the ongoing preparations for holding the emergency Arab Summit in Cairo on Tuesday 4 March 2025, which will discuss in particular the latest developments of the Palestinian issue.
