Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Italian Ambassador to Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received the Ambassador of Italy to Iraq Mr. Niccolò Fontana, at the Ministry’s headquarters today, on 27 February 2025. 

During the meeting the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries and further advance joint cooperation across various areas, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments of common concern. 

As well as they touched on the latest developments in the situation in Ukraine, as the two sides exchanged views on the repercussions of the crisis and its impact on international security and stability, stressing the importance of strengthening diplomatic efforts to find peaceful solutions to existing conflicts.
