Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Chairs 11th Preparatory Meeting for Arab Summit in Baghdad

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein chaired the 11th meeting for completing the final arrangements for the next Arab Summit, on Thursday 27 February 2025.

The meeting was attended by a number of ministers and high-level officials, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister of Culture, in addition to the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, the Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, the Mayor of Baghdad, and representatives of the relevant ministries and authorities.

During the meeting, the latest preparations for the summit was thoroughly reviewed, with discussing the topics of the agenda, in addition to discussing various organizational aspects, including the technical and logistical readiness of the summit locations and delegations reception centers, as well as security and media arrangements.

The attendees affirmed the importance of coordinating efforts between the relevant parties to ensure that the summit is organized according to the highest standards, reflecting Iraq’s position and its active role in its Arab surroundings. On his part, Minister Fuad Hussein commended the efforts made by the technical and logistical committees, appreciating the continuous work to ensure the success of this important event.
