Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Meets Iraqi Community in Finland to Discuss their Conditions and Ways to Support them

As part of his visit to Finland to hold a round of political consultations between Iraq and Finland, the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammad Hussein Bahr Aluloom, met with a number of dignitaries and representatives of the Iraqi community residing in Finland, where consular affairs were discussed and proposals related to the conditions of the community and ways to provide support to it were discussed.

During the meeting, the Undersecretary affirmed the Iraqi government and Foreign Ministry keenness to maintain continuous communication with the Iraqi communities abroad, and to provide possible support to enhance their role as the forefront of Iraq in the diaspora. He also stressed the importance of employing Iraqi competencies abroad to contribute to the development process in Iraq, in addition to investing their role in strengthening cultural ties between Iraq and the countries in which they reside.

On their part, members of the community commended the efforts of the Iraqi Embassy in Finland and its follow-up of their issues, and affirmed their keenness to contribute to the process of building Iraq by employing their expertise to support development across various areas.
