Undersecretary for Political Planning Receives Delegation of Manging Immigration and Communities in Turkish Presidency

The Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Planning Ambassador Dr. Hisham Al Alawi, received the head and members of the delegation of Manging Immigration and Communities in the Turkish Presidency, with the attendance of Dr. Hussein Allawi Advisor to the Prime Minister, and representatives of the Council of Ministers, in addition to representatives of the Ministry’s Neighboring Countries Department.

During the meeting, the Undersecretary highlighted the profound Iraqi-Turkish relations, and the connection and interests that unite the two friendly countries and peoples, affirming the interest of the Ministry’s leadership in developing bilateral relations and addressing common concerns.

Additionally, they touched on the conditions of the communities of both countries and their large numbers, as well as the importance of their role in strengthening social, economic and political ties and relations, in addition to how to benefit from them in strengthening dialogue between the two peoples at the official and unofficial levels.

On their part, the members of the Turkish delegation extended their thanks to Undersecretary Al Alawi for the warm reception and hospitality, stressing their willingness to expand cooperation with various Iraqi parties on issues related to immigration and communities.   

In addition, they explained that the delegation in coordination with the Iraqi sectoral authorities, is in the process of completing the establishment of the Iraqi-Turkish Cultural House in Baghdad, which will be an important bridge to strengthen ties between the two friendly peoples and open new horizons for cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
