Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein Visits Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca

On 9 February 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein visited the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, one of the major religious and cultural attractions in Morocco and the Islamic world.

During the visit, Minister Hussein was briefed on the unique architectural details of the mosque, and learned about the history of the mosque’s construction.

Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of enhancing cultural and religious cooperation between the two countries, as well he indicated that the mosque represents a symbol of modern Islamic architecture.

The Minister expressed his admiration for the great efforts made in building this religious edifice, stressing that such visits contribute to enhancing mutual understanding between islamic peoples.

Additionally, the Minister commended the role played by Morocco in promoting dialogue between cultures and religions, noting that Iraq seeks to enhance cooperation with sister countries across various areas, including the cultural and religious fields.
