Statement

The Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Iraq Strongly condemns and denounces any calls or attempts intended to displace the Palestinian people from their land especially from the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from the ongoing aggression and human rights violations. The Ministry affirms that such calls represent a blatant violation of international law and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to their territory and homeland.

Iraq, with its constant and principled position rejects any plans intended to displace the Gaza Strip of its indigenous people, whether through forced displacement or through any other means. The Ministry considers that these calls constitutes a serious threat to the stability of the region and fuel the conflict.

The Foreign Ministry reiterates its call to the international community to assume its moral and legal responsibilities, and to stand firmly against any attempts to displace the Palestinians, and work to protect their legitimate rights to live in safety and dignity on their land.
