Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Arrives in Morocco Upon an Official Invitation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, arrived in the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, upon an official invitation from his Moroccan counterpart, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Mr. Nasser Bourita, this visit comes as part of strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Morocco, and exchanging views on regional and international issues of common concern.
During the visit, the Minister is scheduled to meet with a number of Moroccan officials, as the meetings will discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic and cultural areas, in addition to enhancing coordination on regional and international issues, including the combined efforts for strengthening security and stability in the region.
In a press statement following his arrival, Minister Fuad Hussein highlighted the depth of the historical relations between Iraq and Morocco, expressing his aspiration to strengthen these relations across various areas. As well the Minister commended the role played by the Kingdom of Morocco in enhancing Arab and African cooperation, affirming the importance of coordination between the two countries to confront common challenges.
