Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Holds a Phone Call with Palestinian Prime Minister

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein held a phone call with Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mohammed Mustafa, on 29 January 2025, in which they discussed the latest developments in Palestine after the ceasefire and means of enhancing joint coordination to support the Palestinian people.

Minister Hussein affirmed Iraq’s consistent position in supporting the Palestinian cause, stressing the rejection of any attempts that aims to displace the Palestinian people, and the importance of unifying efforts to enhance their resilience on their land, as well the Minister indicated that Iraq will continue to exert maximum efforts to ensure that the Palestinian cause and the support for the rights of the Palestinian people are at the forefront of the priorities of the Arab Summit agenda, which will be hosted in Baghdad this year.

On his part, Prime Minister Mustafa expressed his deep appreciation for Iraq’s positions in support of Palestine, and commended the brotherly ties between the two countries, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation and joint coordination across various areas.
