Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Participates in a Panel Discussion at Davos Forum on Easing Tensions in Middle East

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein took part in a panel discussion held on the sidelines of the Davos Economic Forum, with the participation of Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Syrian Transitional Government Asaad Al Shaibani, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, in addition to Ms. Varsen Aghabekian the Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The panel discussion focused on the topic of “how to ease tensions in the Middle East”, as the participants discussed the most prominent political and security challenges facing the region, and emphasized on the need for promoting regional and international dialogue to achieve stability and sustainable development.

In his remarks, Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed the importance of collaboration between the countries of the region and the international community to find sustainable solutions to existing conflicts, underlining Iraq’s pivotal role in supporting peace efforts and enhancing regional stability.
