Deputy Prime Minister Meets Brazilian Foreign Minister to Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations in New York
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, on Friday, September 27, 2024.
The two Ministers highlighted the bilateral ties between Iraq and Brazil, as Minister Hussein indicated the importance of restoring relations to their former state, due to their history that extend over many years.
The meeting also dealt with economic relations, trade exchange between the two countries, and the possibilities of expanding these relations in terms of goods and services of common interest. During the conversation, the Brazilian Minister extended an invitation to Minister Hussein to visit Brazil, which reflects both parties desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Additionally, they discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of electricity generation and alternative energy, which opens new horizons for sustainable cooperation between Iraq and Brazil.
