Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Meets Turkmenistan Foreign Minister and signs Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bahr Al Ulum, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mr. Rashid Meredov, at the Turkmen Foreign Ministry’s Headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed developing cooperation in the political, diplomatic, commercial and economic fields, in addition exchanging views regarding common stances, regionally and internationally, as well as they emphasized on enhancing bilateral cooperation and coordinating stances in regional and international organizations.

The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the outcomes of the Iraqi delegation’s visit to Turkmenistan, and the meetings held with Turkmen officials. An invitation was extended to Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan to visit Iraq, in order to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was preceded by a ceremony  of signing a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries , which aims to organize the bilateral tracks for joint political action between the two countries, on issues of bilateral and international relations.
