Foreign Ministry Mourns Passing of Former Undersecretary, Academic and Diplomat Dr. Mohammad Alhaj Hamoud

The Foreign Ministry mourns the passing of former Ministry’s Undersecretary, academic and diplomat Dr. Mohammad Alhaj Hamoud, who passed away at the age of 88, on Thursday May 2, 2024, in Baghdad.

Dr. Alhaj Hamoud held various positions in the Foreign Ministry, including heading the Legal Department, the senior Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry, and an advisor to the Foreign Minister, he is also an author of many important books on politics, diplomacy, and international law.

The Ministry offers its deep condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, may Allah extend his mercy to the deceased and rest his soul in peace.
