Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Foreign Minister of Bahrain

On Sunday, April, 28, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, received His Excellency Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, in Baghdad.

During the meeting, Minister Al Zayani offered his condolences to Minister Hussein over the passing of his wife, expressing his sincere sympathies to the Minister and his family, asking Allah the Almighty to extend his mercy to the deceased.

On his part, Minister Hussein extended his thanks and gratitude to his Bahraini counterpart for extending condolences and sympathy.

As part of the meeting, they reviewed the fraternal bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in a way that serves common interests. They also touched on the agenda of the 33rd Arab Summit, scheduled to be held next month in Bahrain, as its being convened in coincides with the presence of many challenges, in this regard, Minister Hussein stated that Iraq seeks to have an effective role in this summit and is working to achieve high-level coordination with the Arab countries to make the summit a success, the two sides also discussed the regional developments taking place in the region, especially the current events in Gaza and the continued attacks by the occupation authority in the Palestinian territories, the two parties agreed on the necessity of Intensifying joint efforts to achieve stability in the region.
