Charge d’affairs ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq to Bahrain meets the Bahraini Assistant Undersecretary for Consular, Resources, and Information Affairs
Charge d’affairs ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq to the Bahrain Kingdom, Moayed Omar Abd AlRahman has met the Bahraini Assistant Undersecretary for the Consular, Resources, and Information Affairs, Ambassador Khalil Yaqoub AlKhayat at the headquarters of the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This meeting comes under the framework of the endeavour to explore the possible opportunities in order to enhance the bilateral cooperation in a way to serve the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.
The Charge d’affairs has affirmed the status that the Kingdom has to Iraq which is based on respect, mutual appreciation, and the keenness to promote the common ties.
The meeting has covered a number of issues on the political or economic dimensions. They touched upon the issue of signing a Memorandum of Understanding relating to the mutual exemption of Visas for diplomatic and service passports’ holders. They also discussed opening the aviation line between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition, they discussed the importance of exchanging high level visits in the framework of mutual cooperation and enhancing the mutual dialogue to promote the relationship based on the interest and common challenges.
The Charge d’affairs has referred to the importance of facilitating the visas issuance to the Iraqi people intending to visit the Kingdom.
