Foreign Minister Meets the Yemini Counterpart in Al Manama

H.E. Dr Fuad Hussein the Minister of Foreign Affairs met Dr Ahmed bin Aouadh Bin Mubarak the Yemini Foreign Minister on the side lines of the Regional Summit / Al Manama Dialogue 17, they discussed during the meeting the bilateral relations between the two countries in light of what gathers the two countries a brotherly ties and vital interests that both sides are looking forward advancing it to meet the ambitions of the two brotherly countries.

H.E. the Foreign Minister expressed Iraq’s consideration towards the events in Yemen and stressing the necessity to put an end to the conflict that taking place since many years between the sons of the same country, adding ” we are watching what is happening in Yemen and we have concerns towards the events latest developments, the Yemeni issue is one of the Iraqi concerns and we are ready to provide any assistance to end the war in Yemen”.

Affirming that the situation in Yemen is affecting the regional security situation and we should work seriously to maintain security and development.

On his part Dr Ahmed bin Aouadh Bin Mubarak expressed that his government is highly considering the internal dialogue and stress on the necessity to not interfere in the internal affairs of Yemen since it will lead to crisis escalation and violence emphasizing on the Yemeni government intention to reach to peace deal and ends the dispute.

Moreover, the Yemini Minister calls for reviving the cultural cooperation agreement between Iraq and Yemen within the contribution framework of consolidating the relations between the two countries.
