Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Iraq to Tunisia Participates in Arab Cybersecurity Forum

The Chargé d’Affairs of the Republic of Iraq to Tunisia, Abdel Hakim Al-Qassab, at the invitation of the Director-General of the Arab Organisation for Communication and Information Technologies, Eng. Mohammed bin Omar, participated in the Arab Cybersecurity Forum, which had been held in Tunisia for the period (21-22/10/2021) under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit. During this forum, the launch of the Arab strategic vision for cyber security in its first version was discussed, which had been prepared by a number of Arab experts, and aims to achieve the Arab integration to protect and secure Arab societies and economies, and to confront all challenges resulting from computer hacking and the unsafe use of cyberspace.

In the same context, the Chargé d’Affairs met the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies Nizar Bennaji,in the presence of the Senior Technical Undersecretary of the Iraqi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mr Wadi Karim Wadi, in addition to the President of the Executive Council of the Arab Communication and Information Technologies Organization and Mr Amir Al-Bayati from the Iraqi Media and Communications Commission.

They discussed a number of topics, including the Arab strategic vision of cyber security, and how to direct countries in this field.
