Iraqi Ambassador in Rome Receives Secretary-General of the Italian-Arab Friendship Association
Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Rome, Safia Talib Al-Suhail, received Eng. Paolo Capuzzo, Secretary-General of the Italian-Arab Friendship Association, and his accompanying delegation
The ambassador welcomed the visiting delegation and praised its role on the Italian-Arab arena, and the support and solidarity with the Iraqi people.
The two sides reviewed the Italian-Iraqi relations and ways to develop them were reviewed, in addition to the role played by friendship associations in achieving rapprochement between peoples and strengthening popular diplomacy in coordination with diplomatic missions and counterpart associations in Iraq and the Arab world.
The ambassador affirmed the embassy’s readiness to support coordination between the association and the Iraqi institutions and organizations in a way that contributes to the consolidation of Iraqi-Italian friendship relations at the bilateral and popular levels.
For his part, Mr. Capuzzo praised the friendship relations on the cultural, scientific and historical levels, and hoped that this approach of constructive cooperation would continue for their common good.
