Iraqi Permanent Representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Meets the UAE Permanent Representative.
The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Ambassador Dr. Mudafar Al-Jbori, held a meeting with his Emirati Counterpart to (IRENA), Dr. Nawal Al Hosani, in her office in Masdar City in Abu Dhabi on Monday, 14 June 2021.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest between the two countries related to renewable energies and ways to enhance them in the future. They reviewed visions and ideas for IRENA’s work and ways to activate and develop them, which require concerted efforts of member states to serve their interests and achieve their ambitions, by benefiting to the max from the exchange and transfer of information, capabilities, expertise and programs of the Agency in the field of renewable energies.
The ambassador also discussed with the UAE representative a number of ideas, programs and proposals that were put forward during the meeting of the International Renewable Energy Agency Council held for the period 22-26 May 2021, in which it is hoped to complete their discussions in the upcoming meetings to be held in November 2021 in order to work on them during the next period.
