Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein affirmed Iraq’s keenness to develop cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at various levels, calling for the importance of strengthening the security and sovereignty of Iraq, distancing it from conflicts, and standing with the government in reconstruction and stabilization.
The meeting witnessed discussions on aspects of the close bilateral relations that bind Iraq and Jordan.
The two Ministers touched on the tripartite agreement between Iraq, Jordan and Egypt to achieve common interests and aspirations of our peoples.
This meeting came during an official visit by the Minister to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the IISS Manama Dialogue 2020 / Regional Security Summit (16) under the title (Conflict Resolution in the Middle East).
The two sides also exchanged visions and ideas about the challenges facing the region and their implications on Iraq, and Minister Fuad Hussein stressed that the region urgently needs to develop a common vision on the most important challenges it faces, and strengthen solidarity between nations.
