The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo Discusses Preparations for Holding a Joint Higher Committee with Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation
Mr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Cairo and Permanent representative to the League of Arab States met with Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Iraq and Egypt in light of the intense preparation and coordination for the Iraqi-Egyptian Higher Joint Committee to be held in Baghdad between the Prime Ministers of the two countries.
Ambassador Al-Dulaimi stressed the importance of agreeing to the strategy of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, noting that coordination is underway with Baghdad to study draft agreements and memorandums of understanding proposed by the Egyptian side to reach the final date for the meeting of the higher committee to be held in Baghdad, indicating that Iraq is keen to strengthen cooperation with Egypt in a way that contributes to strengthening the partnership between the two countries in various fields and promoting it to a stronger partnership.
Minister Al-Mashat affirmed her government’s keenness to convene the committee as soon as possible, expressing her aspiration for the coming period to witness strengthening of relations between the two countries and opening new prospects for them, stressing the importance of the Egyptian private sector participation in Iraq reconstruction projects and facilitating the work of investment companies and also reviewed the government’s efforts on the economic path especially in the developmental fields.
