Foreign Minister Receives a Phone Call from Somali Foreign Minister
Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a phone call from his Somali counterpart Mr. Ahmed Isse Awad to congratulate him on assuming the duties of the Foreign Ministry.
The two sides called for the necessity to strengthen relations between the two countries and raising prospects for cooperation through the Islamic Cooperation Organisation.
Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed that he is following up on the improvement of the situation in Somalia, especially after overcoming internal conflicts which is very important for Iraq and the region.
The two sides also exchanged views on the role of Iraq in the League of Arab States, and the effective role it can have in addressing many crises that Arab countries are exposed to.
