SETA Center for Political Studies and Research Hosts the Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Ankara

The SETA Center for Political, Economic and Social Studies and Research hosted the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Turkey Mr. Hassan Al-Janabi at the headquarters of the Center in Ankara.

The Ambassador delivered a speech highlighting the historical relations between Iraq and Turkey and the political, social, economic and cultural ties between the two countries, and stressed the great development witnessed in bilateral relations, which was represented by the visit of President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Saleh, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and Foreign Minister,as it is expected that the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will visit Iraq and hold meetings of the Iraqi-Turkish Supreme Strategic Council in Baghdad.

Ambassador Al Janabi pointed to the need to strengthen the economic file and promote it by raising the level of trade exchange between the two countries to the highest levels, calling on Turkish companies to invest in Iraq, especially as all Iraqi regions are witnessing a remarkable security stability after the victories achieved by the security forces over Da’esh terrorist gangs.

Ambassador Al-janabi listened to the interventions of a number of researchers at the center and discussed all issues related to relations between the two countries.
