Foreign Minister Receives Credentials of German Ambassador to Baghdad

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim received the credentials of new German Ambassador to Baghdad and discussed the relations between Iraq and Germany, and ways to develop them to meet the aspirations of both peoples.
Minister Alhakim praised the positions of Germany in support of Iraq, especially its assistance in the war on Da’esh terrorist gangs, calling on the German companies to invest particularly in infrastructure and reconstruction projects.
The Minister affirmed his support for the new Ambassador’s efforts to strengthen relations between Baghdad and Berlin and to develop bilateral cooperation to achieve common interests, expressing his wish for the success of the Ambassador in his work, and stating the readiness of the Foreign Ministry to provide all facilities for the diplomatic mission.
