The Head of Mission Visits the City of Sisak After a Tragic Earthquake
The Chargé d’affaires a.i. Amer Abdulhussein Al-Fatlawi visited the city of Sisak that witnessed a tragic condition after being affected by a series of earthquakes, which led to severe damages. The visit on 25 January 2021 was in a coordination with the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Croatia. The Head of Mission was accompanied by a number of ambassadors from various Islamic countries accredited to the Republic of Croatia.
Mr. Al-Fatlawi expressed his condolences to the mayor of the city and emphasized on Iraq’s solidarity with the people of Sisak.
Mufti Aziz Hasanovic expressed his happiness with the response of ten embassies of Islamic World accredited to Zagreb to the initiative of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Croatia and its solidarity towards the affected region and its residents.
The Mayor of Sisak, Kristina Ikić Baniček, affirmed that the visit of the Mufti and Heads of diplomatic missions gave a message of support to the Croatian people and the tolerance approach used in Croatia. Also, she expressed her gratitude for the material and emotional aids provided to the city.
