The Chargé d’affaires a.i. Visits BrodoSplit Shipbuilding Company

Mr. Amer Al-Fatlawi the Chargé d’affaires a.i. visited the Croatian national company Brodosplit specialized in manufacturing commercial, touristic, and military vessels, and ships. The Head of Mission met the Executive Director Mr. Tomslav Debeljak, and members of the management board, who prepared a presentation on the company’s business and products, especially large cargo vessels and military warships which are manufactured using the highest innovation technologies and expertise. Later the Head of Mission had a tour to several factories related to the company.

During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed, including strengthening the relations between Iraq and Croatia in the field of Maritime Affairs. The Croatian side expressed its readiness to assist Iraq in training Iraqi navy forces, as they showed enthusiasm to resume the warships exportation process to Iraq.

It is worth mentioning that BrodoSplit is one of the leading companies in ships and vessels production, founded in 1922, and will celebrate its 100 years of continuous work next year. Brodosplit ships and vessels are used by major international transportation companies. The company is a member of DIV GROPE for marine and energy solutions, as it employs more than 7000 workers.
