The Head of Mission Meets Archbishop of Sisak
The Iraqi chargé d’affaires a.i. Amer Abdulhussein Al-Fatlawi, accompanied by a number of Heads of diplomatic missions of Islamic countries accredited to Croatia met Father Vlado Kosic, Archbishop of Sisak on January 25, 2021. The meeting occurred during a visit to the city of Sisak which experienced a devastating earthquake.
The archbishop showed the guests, who came to present their solidarity with the citizens of Sisak, the status of Cathedral Sveti Kriz. The church was severely damaged by the 29 December earthquake. The archbishop added that there are 31 other destroyed churches due to that tragedy.
Father Kosic acknowledged Mr. Al-fatlwai and the ambassadors visit as he expressed his gratitude to the initiative of the the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Croatia and Mufti Hasanovic to visit this stricken area and give support to its citizens.
