The Head of Mission Visits the Town of Petrinja
The Iraqi chargé d’affaires a.i. Amer Abdulhussein Al-Fatlawi participated in the visit organized by the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Croatia led by Mufti Aziz Hasanović on 25.01.2021 for ten ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions from Islamic countries accredited to Croatia to the town of Petrinja that was seriously affected by a devastating earthquake on 29 December 2020.
In his short speech, Mufti Aziz Hasanović complimented the enormous efforts of the Mayor of Petrinja in reconstructing the town and accommodating the people who were left without a safe roof over their heads.
The Mufti made clear that the goal of this visit by the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Croatia is to spread the news to the Islamic world about the current shocking situation caused by the earthquake through the ambassadors of ten countries representing nearly 800 million people. He added that the group visit today is to show support to the victims of this unfortunate disaster.
Mayor of Petrinja Darinko Dumbović thanked the ambassadors and Mufti Hasanović on his behalf and the 20 thousand citizens of Petrinja.
