The First Gathering of the Iraqi Community in Croatia…

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Zagreb organized the first gathering of the Iraqi community in Croatia at the Sheraton Zagreb Hotel. The gathering was attended by a large number of Iraqis who reside in Croatia and Slovenia.  It was the first gathering after officially opening of the Embassy in Zagreb.

 The event started with the playing of the Iraqi national anthem. Then followed a welcoming speech by the chargé d’affaires where he gave also a brief description to embassy’s efforts in enhancing bilateral relations with the Republic of Croatia in all fields, and commented on the completion of the consular section building and equipping it with all means that can facilitate serving the Iraqi citizens in Croatia. Afterward, the consul gave a short speech welcoming the attendance and explained the consular work and services provided by the consular section to the Iraqi community which aims at facilitating their consular work. Later the presence watched a short movie produced by the embassy’s staff titled ‘Iraq Today’, and it was followed a banquet for the guests.
