EMERGNECY OPERATION FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT – ADDITIONAL FINANCNGConstruction Supervision of REHABILITATION & MAINTENANCE OF KHALIS- ETHAIM ‎HIGHWAY Part (2)‎Loan No. IBRD – 87930 / Project ID No. P155732 ‎Procurement reference number: EODP-AF/MOCHPM/D-C6 ‎REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST ‎The Government of Iraq (GOI) has received additional financing of an amount of US $(400) ‎four hundred million Dollars from the World Bank toward the cost of the Emergency Operation ‎for Development Project (EODP-AF), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for ‎Construction Supervision of REHABILITATION & MAINTENANCE OF KHALIS- ETHAIM HIGHWAY ‎Part (2). The rehabilitation works includes, but not limited to; The rehabilitation works contract ‎includes but not limited to: milling and demolishing of the existing distressed asphalt layers for ‎the outer and inner lanes, and compensate with new asphalt layers and then overlaying of ‎new asphalt binder layers using polymer type (76-10), and construction of half pipe culverts, ‎manholes and shoulders and U turns, maintenance of deck slab, expansion joints and handrails ‎of 3 bridges on the road, Strengthening the road by rigid pavement at the security check point ‎and road marking and signs). The Project Employer is Roads and Bridges Directorate at the ‎Ministry of Construction and Housing and Municipalities and Public Works. ‎The main objective of the assignment is a to undertake supervision and design review on the ‎works to ensure compliance with the design, internationally acceptable technical ‎specifications, environmental and social safeguards and sound engineering practices. ‎The period for the execution of the works is twelve (12) months. Interested consulting firms or ‎Joint Ventures may obtain further information at the address below (9:00 am- 2:00 pm), ‎‎(GMT+3).‎The Employer invites eligible consulting firms and eligible joint ventures (“Consultants”) to ‎express their interest in providing the Services. Interested “Consultants” should provide ‎information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant similar ‎experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting will be based on previous proven ‎experience, history of the consultant, the technical and managerial skills resident in the firm ‎and the volume of similar project. Experience in the region will be considered as a plus. ‎The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to the World Bank’s policy on conflict of ‎interest. After shortlisting, a Request for proposals will be launched and a Consultant will be ‎selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost based Selection (QCBS) method as per the ‎World Bank’s procurement guidelines.‎Complete set of documents, submitted by the interested Consultants, must not exceed 20 ‎pages and should be in English.
