Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs receives the Kuwaiti ambassador in Iraq; stresses the need to activate the work of the joint committees between the two countries
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein welcome today, Sunday, November 13, 2022, the Ambassador of the of Kuwait, Mr. Tariq Abdullah Al-Faraj. During the meeting, the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Kuwait was reviewed, and the importance of increasing cooperation in all fields was emphasized.
The Minister stressed the need to activate and revitalize the work of the joint committees because of their importance in advancing many aspects of cooperation and coordination. His Excellency touched upon some outstanding issues and issues of concern to the two brotherly countries, especially the housing role in Basra.
For his part, the Kuwaiti Ambassador, Mr. Tariq Al-Faraj, congratulated the Minister on the occasion of the formation of the new government, and the renewal of confidence in him as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, stressing his quest to perpetuate the distinguished bilateral relations and Kuwait’s keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation between the two countries.
In conclusion, the two sides stressed the importance of exchanging visits between officials of the two countries in the context of enhancing joint cooperation in many fields.
