Chargé d’Affaires meets with officials of the aircompany operating the airlines between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Armenia

On May 30 at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Yerevan, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Yerevan Dr. Suhailan M. Khaleel Al-Joubouri met with Mr. Ammar al-Mayali, the Director of Administration of “Tariq al-Afaq” and Mr. Martin Ibrahim, the authorized agent of the same company in the Republic of Armenia and the Director of “Anahit” travel agency. It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi company of “Tariq al-Afaq” has been operating the airlines between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting, there was discussion on the number of issues related to aviation and tourism, including the process of providing the Iraqi community residing in Armenia and Iraqi students studying in the Republic of Armenia with additional travel facilities. There was also a reference to the further development of services provided by the company and the importance of increasing the number of flights between the two countries. The most notable challenges that the tourism sector faces in providing services to Iraqi tourists in Armenia were in the spotlight. The meeting was also attended by a number of diplomats of the embassy.
