The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to the Republic of Armenia discusses with the Deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia ways of strengthening the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Yerevan and concluding arrangements for organizing the regular meeting of the Armenian-Iraqi joint intergovernmental commission.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Iraq to Armenia, Dr. SuhailanMunther Khaleel Al-Jubouri, held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Mr. Vahe Gevorgyan on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the headquarters of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, they discussed means to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and prepare for the regular meeting of the Armenian-Iraqi joint intergovernmental commission, which was planned to be held at the end of 2021. The both sides emphasized the need and importance of signing agreements and memoranda of understanding that would serve the interests of the two countries and agreed on planning mutual high-level official visits in the near future. 

For his part, Mr. Gevorgyan wished success to the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy Iraq and the Iraqi people, expressing his hope for the formation of the new Iraqi Government in the near future.
