The Mesopotamian Civilization inspires Iraq Innovators in the United States

With the participation of the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Iraq, Iran, and Public Diplomacy, Mrs. Jennifer Gavito, and a group of diplomats and prominent American officials, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington celebrated a group of Iraqi innovators in the fields of fine art, sculptor art, and craftwork. Their works covered Iraq’s history and civilization from various angles, which attributed to conveying its cultural heritage in a manner befitting Iraq’s history and position.

The event included a speech by the Iraqi Chargé d ‘Affairs in Washington, Dr. Silwan Sinjari, which shed light on Iraq’s legacy of coexistence and diversity throughout history to this day. The US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Iraq, Iran, and Public Diplomacy, Mrs. Jennifer Gavito, also gave a speech in which she referred to Iraq’s historical depth, diversity, and coexistence from long ago. Mrs. Gavito also referred to the strategic partnership between Iraq and the United States and the prospects for its advancement. 

A number of Iraqi innovators were honored during the event for their role in highlighting Iraq’s cultural heritage.
