The Ambassador attends the regular meeting of the Asian Group

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq accredited to the Holy See (Vatican) Dr. Amal Moussa Hussein attended the regular meeting of heads of missions of the Asian Group countries accredited to the Holy See, at the Indonesian Embassy to the Holy See on Friday 29thNovember 2019.

            The rotating president of the Asian Group, H.E. Mr. Antonius Agus SRIYONO, welcomed theAmbassadors and Heads of Diplomatic Missions, in which the members rotate to preside over the Group according to the dates the Ambassadors presented their credentials to the Pope.

            During the meeting they recalled the importance of the International conference organized by the  Asian Group in cooperation with the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue during the month of June at the headquarters of the Pontifical University (Urbaniana), where some views on interfaith dialogue where highlighted from the Asian side after the signing of the document (Human fraternity for world peace and living together) by Pope Francis and Imam Al-Azhar Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayebon February 4th2019 in Abu Dhabithe UAE capital.

            During the gathering they also fixed the date for the next meeting to discuss the terms for electing the new head of the group, as the current president mission has reached to its end.
