The Ambassador attends the Austrian Embassy invitation on the occasion of the National Day of the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq accredited to the Holy See (Vatican)

Dr. Amal Moussa Hussein, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Holy See attends on Friday October 25th 2019 at the function organized by the Austrian Embassy accredited to the Holy See, the reception was held at the Embassy on the occasion of the country’s national day.  During the ceremony, Ambassador Amal extended her congratulations to the Austrian Ambassador, Ms. Franziska Friessnigg, and stressed the importance of the relations between the Republic of Iraq and Austria, and wished the people and the Austrian Government further progress and prosperity.

        On the sidelines of the event, the Ambassador met with the Vatican’s Foreign Minister, Monsignor Paul Richard Gallagher, and talked about the recent events in Iraq and about the telephone call received by the Ambassador from The Prime Minister of the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, on the 25th of October, in which he expressed the support of his holiness, Pope Francis, for Iraq and to find a peaceful negotiation that would satisfy all parties, and also that His Holiness is praying for peace and security in Iraq.
