The Second Arab and Japan Dialogue
Within the framework of ongoing relationships between Arab countries and Japan, H.E. Dr. Saleh Altamimi Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Planning-participated in the second Japan-Arab Political Dialogue which was held in an online format in 1st of April, 2021. H.E.MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs, co-chaired with H.E. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Foreign Minister of Qatar. H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, as well as 21 foreign ministers and representatives from member states of the League of Arab States attended the dialogue. This Dialogue comes as one of bold signs for ongoing cooperation between Arab world and Japan on various spheres such as: countering COVID-19 and supporting health sectors in the Middle East, common interests in term of domestic and regional security and peace and sharing views on Free and Open Indo-Pacific initiative
