Ambassador Khalil Ismail al-Moussawi participated in the 74th anniversary of bombing  Hiroshima city during World War II, on 6-8-1945, caused a massive killing of thousands of innocents. In the presence of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and a large number of members of the Japanese government, as well as representatives from 92 countries, and about 50,000 people from all cities of Japan and visitors from all over the world, came to reflect on the tragedy and call for a world free of nuclear weapons. H.E expressed his condolences to the members of the government and wished a world of love and peace.
The challenge in rebuilding Hiroshima was not only to rebuild buildings, facilities, and housing, but the most important was psychologically and emotionally, which is to remove the negative feelings of the population amid all the feelings of anger and shock and turn them to positive feelings rebuild the city again, and this is what has already happened .
The reaction was the finest human creation, represented by moving away from revenge and leaving the past, turning the feelings of anger into strength and creativity and turning them to positive feelings for the reconstruction of the city again and beautiful. The fundamental essence of the city’s rise from rubble and death is to set aside differences and focus on reconstruction and building and to put the public interest over the private in a tireless collective action involving everyone.
