Meeting with vice Chairman of foreign relations committee

Today, May.4.2023, the Charge De ‘Affairs Mr. Pewan Jasim met at the Swedish Parliament Riskdag with the vice Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Mr. Johnas Andersson. During the meeting, both parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest including the bilateral relations between Iraq and Sweden. The discussion focused on ways to strengthen the bilateral relations between Iraq and Sweden, by exchanging visits and experiences between the legislative institutions of both countries, supporting the democratic path in Iraq, and activating the Iraqi-Sweden Parliamentary Friendship Committee.

In addition to the current political developments in both countries, the parties discussed regional and international developments. At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed their satisfaction with the discussion and agreed to continue working towards strengthening the bonds between Iraq and Sweden.
