The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs chairs the second meeting of the Ministerial Council for Economy
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein chaired the second meeting of the Ministerial Council for Economy, in the presence of the Ministers of Planning, Finance, Industry, Trade, Agriculture, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Acting Chairman of the National Investment Commission, and the Prime Minister’s Adviser for Economic and Legal Affairs.
The Council hosted the Minister of Electricity; to discuss the reality of service in this important sector, as well as to overcome the difficulties in order to improve it.
The Council also hosted the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport; the file of aircraft contracts and services provided to passengers by Iraqi Airways and ways to improve and develop them were discussed.
The council also discussed several economic issues on its agenda.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister directed the completion of the draft law of the state’s general budget in order to discuss it in the next session of the Council.
