Celebration of the staff of the Embassy of Iraq in Bulgaria on the occasion of Mother’s Day and the celebration of the “Navruz” holiday
This year, the employees of the Iraqi Embassy in Bulgaria celebrated Mother’s Day and the “Navruz” holiday with the teaching staff and students of the Iraqi School in Sofia.
Her Excellency, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Bulgaria, Mrs. Lina Omar, congratulated the attendees at the celebration and all the mothers around the world, and in particular the Iraqi mother, with this solemn occasion, and expressed her respect and admiration for the Iraqi woman.
The ambassador also congratulated thе attendees on the “Navruz” holiday,an occasion that symbolizes spring, joy, struggle, solidarity, brotherhood and peace, carrying with it a message of life, hope and opposition to tyranny.
After welcoming the distinguished guests, the ambassador expressed his constant readiness to support the Iraqi school and his hope for the development and improvement of the scientific level and raising it to the level of the renowned schools in Bulgaria, considering the ancient history of education and science in Iraq. Since its establishment in the seventies of the last century, the Iraqi school has been officially recognized in Bulgaria and its graduates have the right to continue their studies in all Bulgarian universities, without any restrictions. Hundreds of Iraqi students have graduated in Bulgaria until present. With this purpose the scientific path and improvement through education must continue by investing in science and progress.
