Attending a ceremony of the American University in Bulgaria
On May 20, 2022, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Bulgaria, H.E. Mrs. Lina Omar, attended a celebration marking the 30th anniversary of the founding of the American University in Bulgaria, which is considered the first liberal arts educational institution in the American style in Eastern Europe, with thirteen departments for the study of bachelor degree.
Ms. Karen Donfried, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Asian Affairs, and the US Ambassador, H.E. Mrs. Hero Mustafa, and a number of Ambassadors and representatives of countries accredited to Bulgaria attended the event.
