Visit of an Iraqi delegation from the Military and Defence Industry sector
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq H.E. Mrs. Lina Omar received in the embassy on January 28, 2022 a delegation from the Office of Military Industrialization / Iraqi General Company for Copper and Mechanical Industry, which visited Bulgaria by the invitation of the Bulgarian company BIEM.
After the greetings, the positive direction of relations between Iraq and Bulgaria, their historical depth and the opportunities that both countries can take advantage of were discussed. For her part, Ambassador Lina Omar reaffirmed the embassy’s readiness to help overcome obstacles, if any.
For his part, the head of the delegation, Assistant Director General Isam Yousef Jalil, explained the nature of the visit, examining the production stages and technical capabilities of the company. The delegation was accompanied during its business tour in the country by the head of the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Baghdad, Mr. Nikola Draganov.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Lina Omar expressed hope for more frequent such visits to Bulgaria, which would help the strengthening of the cooperation between the two countries and wished success to the delegation.
