The Head of Mission attended a meeting of the Council of Arab Ambassadors

H.E Mr. Mohammed Al-Azzawi, Chargé d’Affaires, attended the first for this year meeting of the Council of Arab Ambassadors held on 5 February 2020 at the residence of the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, H.E. Mrs. Latifa Benazza. The meeting was chaired by the Doyen of the Diplomatic Corps, H.E. Mr Ahmed Al Madbuh, Ambassador of the State of Palestine. During the meeting the political situation in Bulgaria was discussed and the announcement by thePresident Mr. Rumen Radev on February 4, 2020 that he officially is withdrawing his confidence from the government. The Bulgarian Government’s position on the “Deal of the Century” was also discussed and, in the same context, the diplomatic corps praised the positive position of the League of Arab States and the Organization for Islamic Cooperation in favor of the Palestinian cause.
