The head of Mission attends a discussion on the Croatian Presidency of the EU Council

H.E Mr. Mohammed Al-Azawi, attended a discussion on the presentation of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, held in Sofia on Tuesday 14/1/2020, which was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Repubic of Bulgaria Mrs. Ekatherina Zaharieva, who called for an increase in the role of the European Union in the global scene. The discussion was hosted by the Croatian Ambassador Mrs. Jasna Ognjanovic and was organized by PanEuropa Bulgaria with the assistance of the Delegation of the European Commission to Sofia and the Bureau of the Conrad Adenauer Foundation.Minister Zaharieva also highlighted the challenges facing the Croatian Presidency – the new membership of the European institutions, Brexit, security issues and EU enlargement.She also expressed her gratitude to Croatia for continuing one of the main priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency – the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries.
