Meeting with the Chairperson of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Academician Yulian Revalski

H.E. Mrs. Lina Omar, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria met with the Chairperson of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Academician Yulian Revalski at the premises of the academy in Sofia. Ways to develop and strengthen scientific and cultural ties between the two countries were discussed at the meeting. Views were exchanged on a number of topics of common interest, including the participation of Iraqi students in Master’s and PhD programs at the Academy, as well as training of high school teachers and university professors in various scientific fields. Emphasis was placed on the Iraqi government’s efforts in the field of education, in which education, innovation and scientific research are considered basic conditions in the government’s program, Showing its sociability to the world.
For his part, Academiciat Revalski welcomed the idea of making the most of the opportunity for inclusion in the Master’s and PhD programs that the Academy offers, as it accepts research and scientific projects that need funding to reach their final stages, providing an opportunity for scientists from different countries around the world, including Iraq, to participate in conferences and seminars in the near future.
